Catering Gas Installation
We design and install gas supplies to commercial kitchens of all sizes — from single-appliance café fit-outs to large hotel and contract catering facilities. All pipework is sized and installed to IGEM/UP/19, with full pressure testing, commissioning and Gas Safe certification on completion. We work alongside kitchen fit-out contractors, main contractors and directly for operators.
Interlock Systems & Emergency Controls
Current regulations require commercial kitchens to be fitted with a gas interlock system linking the gas supply to the ventilation. We supply and install compliant interlock systems, emergency gas shut-off controls and manual isolation valves to BS 6173 and IGEM/UP/19 requirements. All systems are commissioned, tested and documented with a full commissioning certificate.
Gas Safe Paperwork & Compliance
We provide the complete Gas Safe documentation pack on every job — including Gas Safe certificates, tightness test records, commissioning sheets and interlock commissioning certificates. All paperwork is issued on BLG Engineering Ltd headed documentation and lodged with Gas Safe Register where required. We also carry out periodic inspections and re-certification for existing catering gas installations.
